CRIME AND DISORDER – PC Wayne Bennett addressed the meeting stating that crime figures are down on this time last year and the lowest figures have been recorded for the whole of Nottinghamshire since 1981. There have been 5 arrests for drug related matters and 4 juvenile arrest in the dispersal zone. Dog fouling has become a top priority for the Wardens with 2 tickets issued last week to dog owners. Warsop is particularly bad at the moment with people not picking up after their dogs.

No comments were made.
8566. WARSOP TOWN HALL – Cllr. Kochanowski gave an update and told members
that she has received a dilapidations offer from NCC of £12,500 + VAT
which is very disappointing. She will find out how they have reached this
figure and negotiate with them.

8570. THE CARRS –
With the help of the Wildlife Trust, Friends of the Carrs is getting a kick
start and with several more people attending the meetings it now seems that
the improvements needed can once again be carried forward and new funding
investigated. The main concern, the de-silting is a priority and a source
of funding has been identified. The Parish Council agreed to support the group.
Next F.O.C. meeting: Tuesday 10th May 7.30pm at Unit 2000, Church Street.
8571. WARSOP AND DISTRICT NEWS – The May edition is almost done, there are several new advertisers for this edition.
8572. 3 PARISHES WALK – The Clerk told members that there aren’t many registrations this year. Cllr. Kochanowski suggested changing the name next year to Walks for Warsop as the walks no longer cover 3 Parishes.
8573. CONNIE CLUB CAR PARK – Letters have been distributed to businesses in Warsop to park their cars here instead of the town centre to free up space for shoppers, to date the only takers are Spencer’s. The Parish Council registered their disappointment after negotiating with the club and getting permission for this only to be told by local businesses that it is too far to walk! Cllrs Kerr and Allin offered to visit the businesses in person.
8574. TESCO – The planning application has been submitted but MDC has requested more information before validating it.
